Our Year 12 Fundraisers were out and about again over the long weekend volunteering their time for the Bacchus on the Lake.
Traditionally held on Good Friday, the Bacchus on the Lake sees competitors take part in either an 8km walk, 5km run or 10 km run around Lake Wyangan. The run has been held since 1975 and is generally considered to be a good way to atone for the excesses of the long weekend.
Our generous Year 12 students and staff selflessly donated their morning to performing duties essential to the running (no pun intended) of the event. MRHS - Griffith were responsible for distributing bibs, running water stations, printing awards, data entry and student Isabella McCloskey even got on the mic to call part of the race. For the students' work, Griffith Feral Joggers put $500 towards the school’s fundraising efforts.
“The students worked extremely hard all morning,” explains Year 12 Year Advisor Dylan Harmer, “They worked non-stop, were polite, showed initiative and never stopped smiling.”
