Last Friday our open boys hockey team placed third at the CHS Riverina Hockey Competition.
It’s the first school hockey team the school has entered in years and was built off the back of school captain and star hockey player Aaron Dawson. The boys played four games, winning two, drawing one and narrowly losing one after a Griffith goal was disallowed.
The day wasn’t just the Aaron Dawson show, however. There were some great performances from old hands Max Jamieson and Connor Dawson. Newcomers Dustin McIntyre, Connor Vecchio, Izak Barbaro and Basit Ahmed also showed great promise.
Well done to our boys. Let’s hope we can maintain the momentum for next season!
