Last week, our Year 10s got to learn all about apprenticeships from experts in the field at an industry speed dating session.
The students have life after school on their mind with work experience fast approaching on 25 June. Throughout the hour they were able to ask any questions they might have about life as a tradie and network with prospective employers.
Organised by our careers teacher Melina Ragusa and Senior Project Officer for Regional Industry Education Partnerships Katie Friedlieb, the school hosted representatives from Collier Miller, Intersales and builder Colin Eldridge.
“Here at Murrumbidgee we’re building networks with our local businesses and keeping track of trends in the industry,” explains Ms Ragusa, “We want our students to understand that the potential opportunities in trades are limitless.”
