Out girls under 15s netball team showed a lot of heart on the court at the Riverina Knockout Gala Day last Friday. Despite their best efforts however, and a couple of nailbiters against Temora and James Fallon High School, the girls unfortunately didn’t win any of their games.
Sophie Webb demonstrated outstanding leadership and experience throughout the day, providing guidance and encouragement to less experienced players. She was voted Player’s Player. Kayla Hicken also showed versatility playing various positions across the court throughout the day and Sienna Lee was formidable in defence.
“Although they didn’t get any wins,” explains girls coach Caprice Skinner, “All the girls enjoyed the day and it was great to see them having fun and enjoying playing as a team.”
Better luck next time girls and special thanks to Alexis Ball and Ericka Tonga for volunteering to be umpire and scorer for the day.
