Two Griffith Students Selected for Riverina Debate Team

Griffith students Sophie Webb and Alicia Newman have been offered spots on the Riverina Debating team.

The two students competed against fellow MRHS students and students across the region for a coveted spot on the team after a gruelling series of trials on Friday. The girls will move on to compete against 9 other regions at the Junior State Debating Championship State Finals in early December.

Held at the Women’s College at the University of Sydney over three days, the championship will allow students to hone their skills in a series of debates, workshops and training sessions. Best of luck, girls and a huge thankyou to Miss Ridgway for coordinating the Riverina team!
