Griffith Boys Netball Have Good Run at Wagga

On Tuesday our 7/8 boys netball team travelled to Wagga to compete in the second phase of the Netball NSW Cup Competition.

Griffith started with a tight game against Wagga Wagga Christian College that ended in a 7 all draw. They then had a strong win against Tumut High School (16-3) followed by two losses to the eventual grand finalists St Anne’s Temora and Xavier High School. MRHS – Griffith ended up finishing 6^th place overall.

Lachlan Webb and Kye Campbell were our shooting stars, putting up lots of shots throughout the day. Paxton Fall was strong in defence and Reif Leach and Bradley Whitworth controlled the midcourt.

“I was very impressed with the whole team,” recounts coach Caprice Skinner, “Both on and off court, they showed great sportsmanship and team spirit. It was a great day.”
