As we settle into Term 2, some of our students may be experiencing a range of tough emotions such as sadness, stress, or loneliness.  We want to highlight the support that is available to our students. 

  • Lifeline - call 13 11 14, webchat at lifeline.org.au  or text on 0477 13 11 14.  Available 24/7
  • Kids Helpline – call 1800 55 1800 or webchat at kidshelpline.com.au -  service for children and young people, parents/carers. Available 24/7
  • eheadspace - 1800 650 890 or webchat  eheadspace.org.au - access to a mental health clinician  (9am-1am)
  • QLife 1800 184 527 or webchat at qlife.org.au – LGBTIQ+ peer support (3pm – midnight)
  • Parent Line 1300 1300 52.  Free telephone counselling and support and online resources for advice and tips to support you with all things parenting
  • Murrumbidgee Local Health District Access Line – 1800 800 944 open 24/7
  • ReachOut- Tools and resources for everyday questions through to tough times as well as mental health support strategies.

As a parent or carer you can help your young person by:

  • Letting them know you’re available for a chat/yarn
  • Connecting with them regularly
  • Supporting them to maintain regular routines e.g. sleep, meal times, activities
  • Encouraging them to find time to connect to the things they enjoy e.g., hobbies, Country, interests, friends, set goals.
  • Encouraging them to seek support if they need it
