The very first Griffith Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Health and Wellbeing Camp was held over two exciting days at the Griffith Regional Sports Centre and what an unforgettable experience it was!
15 Year 7 students from MRHS took part in the camp, which focused on building strong minds, healthy habits, and teamwork through sport.
Day 1 kicked off with powerful sessions from KSquared founders John & Maurice Kennedy, who spoke about the importance of a growth mindset and holistic wellbeing in achieving athletic and personal success.
We were also lucky to hear from High Performance Life Coach and Nutritionist Jeff Morgan, who inspired students with his personal journey and the power of “empower, change, one habit at a time.”
Day 2 was all about action! Students played six games of touch footy, with two teams formed from MRHS Griffith, one team made up entirely of MRHS students and one mixed team of MRHS and Narrandera students.
Both teams showed amazing skills, sportsmanship and spirit, making it all the way to the grand final where the, all MRHS team came out on top!
A massive thank you to the State AECG and Griffith AECG for making this camp possible and Enoka for refereeing our games . Your support helped create an experience our students will never forget.
