Our Year 11s took their inspiration from nature for their first textiles project.
The class were tasked with designing and constructing around the theme “natural”. The students used woodland forests, ocean pearls and water bound volcanoes as their muse. Among the submissions were skirts, a button up shirt, a hoodie and even a cape.
“The entire class is new to textiles and sewing, so I was so impressed by their skills,” beams textiles teacher Jessica Wainwright, “They are all keen to learn new things and are such creative thinkers! There's already some really interesting designs emerging for their next project.”
