On the last week of last term our Year 7s built their resilience and made lifelong friendships at the Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation in Narrabeen.
The students spent five action filled days at the legendary facility participating in tasks like archery, canoeing, escape rooms, abseiling, orienteering and various team building activities. They also competed in a mini Olympic games and even made damper over a fire.
Notably, the Sydney Sports Academy is a training ground for the Manly Sea Eagles. Some of our NRL superfans students were lucky enough to even get to witness a training session and grab a photo with footy superstar Tom Trbojevic.
“It’s a large Year 7 group so we wanted them to get to know each other better,” explains Deputy Principal and excursion supervisor Kylie Hill, “They had a great time. They were exhausted by the end but they had a heap of fun. It’s a great venue.”
A huge thank you to our tireless staff who made this trip possible. You’ve certainly helped our Year 7s make memories that will last a lifetime!
