Year 10 Patchwork Quilting

On Tuesday, the girls from year 10 Textiles Technology were hard at work at the ancient art of patchwork quilting.

The girls employed rotary cutters, cutting maps, quilting rulers and sewing machines to create their masterpieces. The quilts will consist of three layers which the girls will need to bring together with a quilt stitch.

“The blankets are coming along really well.” says Ms Wainwright, the Textile Technology teacher, “It’s really nice to see the girls hard work and creativity come together into a product that they’ll have their whole life.”
