Last week, MRHS student Adele Tropeano and her horse Ima represented the school at the Northwest Equestrian Expo 2023.
The event, held at the Coonabarabran Showground, is Australia's largest high school equestrian event. It’s also the oldest event of its kind, celebrating its 31st year.
The expo ran over five days and included polocrosse, team penning, dressage, working horse challenge, Warrambungles way, expo pentathlon and expo gymkhana. Over 500 students competed from over 100 schools during the five days.
Adele managed to pull together some impressive results, bringing home:
1st 80cm A2 Showjumping
1st 80cm power and speed show jumping
Overall champion 80 cm show jumping
9th place 80cm one-day event
3rd place 13 years all-rounder
Great work, Adele (and Ima)!
