Tropeano Impresses at Northwest Equestrian Expo

Last week, MRHS student Adele Tropeano and her horse Ima represented the school at the Northwest Equestrian Expo 2023.

The event, held at the Coonabarabran Showground, is Australia's largest high school equestrian event. It’s also the oldest event of its kind, celebrating its 31^st year.

The expo ran over five days and included polocrosse, team penning, dressage, working horse challenge, Warrambungles way, expo pentathlon and expo gymkhana. Over 500 students competed from over 100 schools during the five days.

Adele managed to pull together some impressive results, bringing home:

• 1^st 80cm A2 Showjumping
• 1^st 80cm power and speed show jumping
• Overall champion 80 cm show jumping
• 9^th place 80cm one-day event
• 3^rd place 13 years all-rounder
