Girls Compete in Riverina Netball Knockout

Last Friday our open girls netball team competed in the Riverina Opens Netball Knockout.

The girls played seven games throughout the day against teams from across the Riverina. The girls managed to chalk up victories against Tumbarumba (15-3) and Leeton (11 – 9). They finished 6^th overall.

Netball veterans Ella Gaske and Lucy Payne showed great leadership throughout the day, encouraging and coaching the younger players. Ella Gaske was also voted the Player’s Player, followed closely by Sophie Webb.

“All the girls showed excellent sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the day, supporting each other and working well together, no matter what position they played,” exclaims girls netball coach Caprice Skinner, “I was very impressed!”
